Your email, your choice

What we collect

When you sign up for TownScout Weekly we keep your email address, the kinds of events and towns you picked, when you signed up and confirmed, and a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop abuse. We don't store your raw IP address.

Why

Only to send you the weekly email you asked for, matched to your picks, and to prove you asked for it (double opt-in).

Who handles it

Signups are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site. Emails are sent by Resend, our email provider. We never sell, rent or share the list.

Changing your mind

Every email has a link to change your picks or unsubscribe in one click. To have your record deleted entirely, write to us at the address below and we will remove it.

Saved events and your plan

When you tap ♡, add something to My plan or choose your picks on the Saved page, it is kept in your browser on this device. We don't receive it. You can download it or clear it any time on the Saved page.

TownScout accounts (optional)

If you choose to sign in, we keep your email address, the events and places you saved, your plan and notes, and the interests and towns you picked, so they are on all your devices. We email you a one-time sign-in link through Resend; it works once and expires after 15 minutes. We keep a record that you are signed in for up to 30 days. We don't keep passwords, your IP address or your browser details with your account, and we don't collect anything about children (please don't put children's names or details in notes).

You can download everything or delete your account on the Saved page. Deletion is immediate. Cloudflare's database backups can keep a copy for up to 30 days before it is gone for good.

Suggestions

If you send us a suggestion with your email address, we only use it to ask you about that suggestion.
